ALTERED BOOKS, ART BOOKS, AND OTHER COLLAGE ADVENTURES
We’ll use an existing book as a canvas for creating a new work of art with a wide variety of techniques, including collage, windows, accordions, pop-ups, stamping, pull-outs, story telling, and all kinds of other embellishment techniques. Find books at rummage sales, dollar stores, junk shops. Use a hard-cover book for a secure binding and a pre-determined theme, or let your imagination be your guide. Most books published before 1928 are safe for use, including the images in the books, without infringing any copyright laws. Pamela will guide you in creating your own personal story, or a compilation of ideas to try later.
